PRESS RELEASE: 1st Annual Halloween Costume Contest

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

1st ANNUAL HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST
The Joe Conte Show Participates In Unadulterated Fun For Listeners

Clifton, NJ - October 21, 2010 - The Joe Conte Show (JCS) premiered on March 10, 2010. The uncensored show is hosted by none other than its namesake, Joe Conte, and features Bob, Bill, and Christine. The show broadcasts on Cringe Humor Radio LIVE every week from Non-Productive Studios in Clifton, NJ. The cast has come up with a fantastic way to get it’s listeners involved. With Halloween just around the corner, what better way to celebrate the festivities than to have a Costume Contest?

Conte and crew have put a twist on the average costume contest and they have brewed up the “Dress Up Like US” idea. This constitutes the listeners of the show choosing a cast member or a past guest to emulate. The listeners will have the chance to win prizes, with a grand prize including cold hard cash.

Contestants can send their entries in the form of pictures or videos; the choice is up to the contestant. Producers of the show are encouraging listeners submit solo AND group entries, and multiple entries are also allowed. Creativity is welcomed and some fun ideas include; Joe as a Garden State Rollergirl, Bill’s silhouette from his cast bio, Bob’s stay in the looney bin, a reenactment of one of the show’s best-of-bits (or promo), and possibly even a live interpretation of a mugshot matchup sheet. With a show this much fun, creating an “appropriate” costume should be a breeze.

If you haven't tuned in to The Joe Conte Show yet it's not too late! Promos, "best-of" bits, and full-length podcasts can all be accessed from the show's website. Entries for the Joe Conte Show 1st Annual Halloween Contest are due no later than Sunday, October 31st, 2010 at 11:59PM (EST).

All submissions can be made by visiting http://thejoeconteshow.com/contests or by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and must include the following information:
Entrant Name (or chat handle), a valid email address, the entry image or video link, a description of what or who the costume is supposed to represent. If submitting a group entry, all the participants names should be listed with one person as the primary contact.

All JCS listeners who are registered on the website will get the chance to vote on the submissions between November 1st and November 7th (2010). However, the final decision will rest in the capable hands of Joe, Bob, Bill, and Christine.

During the live broadcast of the November 10th show, all winners will be announced. The winners will also be posted on the website.

Though the show is still in its first year, Conte and crew strive to make this an annual listener event. The ball is in your court now, listeners! The more entries received, the more likely fun will spill over
into another year!

Call for Press Release Writer

THE JOE CONTE SHOW IS LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO WRITE PRESS RELEASES

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Joe Conte Show

Broadcasting from Non-Productive Studios in Clifton, NJ and heard worldwide on Cringe Humor Radio

A brief rundown of the project:

I am the producer for The Joe Conte Show, a weekly internet radio show/podcast (http://thejoeconteshow.com), and I'm working on ways to build a buzz for our show and promote some things that are going on with the show.

I'm looking for someone who is willing to help write 5 press releases (with the potential for more down the line), either for free or for $5 each press release.  I wish that I could offer more than $5 per release, but this is entirely coming out of my own pocket, as the show itself does not currently have an operating budget to spare. As an additional benefit, whoever writes the press releases will get a listing on our friends of the show page – hopefully this will provide an opportunity to drum up more business for yourself, or just get your name out there.

Each press release should be 300-500 words in length (not including titles and relevant contact information).  Creativity is a plus, but grammar and formatting will also be important!  Preferably, releases will be written in a standard, widely accepted press release format.

These are the 5 press releases I am currently looking to have written, in priority order:

  1. Call for entries for the 1st Annual Joe Conte Show Halloween Costume Contest (details at http://thejoeconteshow.com/contests) – Entry deadline is Oct 31, 2010 at 11:59pm EASTERN TIME.
  2. Generic informational press release about The Joe Conte Show
  3. Celebrating the launch of TheJoeConteShow.com (featuring bonus show content, forums, contests and more)
  4. Now seeking bands/musicians, comedians, etc who would like to hear their music or performances played during breaks on The Joe Conte Show.
  5. Seeking sponsors/advertising partners for The Joe Conte Show podcast and website.

More information about each of the topics will be provided to whoever expresses an interest in taking on the project.

Tune in to The Joe Conte Show every Wednesday night from 7-10pm for your weekly dose of arrogance and insecurity!  Covering a wide range of topics from the mainstream to the offbeat, we discuss pop culture, sports, news and social issues with the same amount of reverence (or irreverence) as we cover comedy, local events, and our own personal lives! No subject is held sacred, and nothing is taboo.
